Vineyard: This rich, spicy Zinfandel was donated by the Sargent family of Amador County in the Sierra Foothills.
Tasting notes: This dark purple/red Zinfandel exudes savory aromas of spicy, ripe black cherry, plum, blackberry, with seasoned oak. Wrapped together with smells of cedar cigar box, anise, and cinnamon. These scents are beautifully balanced with flavors of cherry, mince, supple tannin, with a warm lasting finish.
Food Pairing: Our Zinfandel can be paired with brown butter carrot saute, pinenut and garlic fall squash, blue cheese sirloin burger, rosemary pork tenderloin.
Wine Making: Cold soaked 72 hours, fermented with Assmanshaunsen yeast, long fermentation, aged in new and old American oak barrels.
Harvest Brix: 28.1
