Vineyard: The Piña vineyard is nestled in the steep hills of the western Napa Valley, south of the Stags Leap District. This old Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard produces some of the biggest, richest wines. Our grapes were donated by the Piña family who have a long history or grape growing in the Napa Valley.
Tasting Notes: This classic heavy bodied Cabernet has wonderful aromas of black currant, plum, pine, spearmint, dusty earth, and mineral. With a bouquet of tight grain French oak, cedar cigar box, cinnamon and nutmeg. Fruit foward flavors of plum, fresh black cherry, and blueberry. Baking spices, barbaque, bright acidity and chewy tannin on a long finish.
Food Pairing: Our Cabernet can be paired with fajitas, BBQ tri tip, meat lasagna, stuffed eggplant, and salted dark chocolate tart.
Wine Making: Cold soaked for four days.
