Vineyard: This characteristic Sierra Foothill Zinfandel was donated by the Sargent family of Amador County in the Sierra Foothills.
Tasting Notes: This rich, spicy Zinfandel has bright aromas of raspberry, dried fruit, and pomegranate with hints of white pepper, spicy oak, and toffee. Big bold flavors of cherry and pomegranate are wrapped in a spicy oak and rich, full tannins with a forever finish.
Food Pairing: Our Zinfandel can be paired with brown butter sauteed carrots, pine nut and garlic fall squash, blue cheese sirloin burger, rosemary pork tenderloin.
Wine Making: Cold soaked 72 hours, fermented with Assmanshaunsen yeast, long fermentation, aged in new and old American oak barrels.
