Vineyard: Our 2018 Napa Zinfandel was harvested to ultra ripe at 27.8 harvest brix in the summer Napa heat. Grapes were transported to Fresno State Winery overnight.
Tasting Notes: Aged flavors of fresh plum, black cherry and briar are married with new toasty oak, dried fruit, floral notes and all spices in white pepper. On the palate, our Napa Zinfandel is big in flavors, rich filled with supple oak tannin and flavors of cherry pie, blackberry, and plum. Overall, it's taste is mature and ready to go. Aging is not necessary.
Wine Making: Whole berry fermentation, after cold soaking for 7 weeks, aged in French and American oak for 14 months.
